Civil Liability Insurance for Lawyers: when to hire and apply?

The Insurance Law Commission of the Brazilian Bar Association – Seccional Espírito Santo (OAB-ES) will hold, on the next 13th, a debate on “Civil Liability Insurance for Lawyers: when to hire and sue?”. The event will take place in the Order’s headquarters auditorium, in the center of Vitória. Participants will attend lectures by the lawyer specializing in Insurance Law, Edgar do Amaral Souza, and administrator, economic expert and manager of the Civil Liability Products Insurer, Daniel Lamboy. “The topic is relevant and, unfortunately, unknown to many lawyers in Espírito Santo. Given the increasing risk of professional failure, it is unimaginable to think that there are still lawyers and offices without insurance. The two debaters, who are experienced professionals in the insurance market in Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo, will certainly demonstrate the peculiarities of this insurance and the risk to which an unprotected lawyer is exposed.
