Insurers adopt Pix as payment

Some companies have already started making available to their customers the new electronic payment method created by the Central Bank

Thinking of providing greater ease and comfort to customers, Porto Seguro Auto now accepts Pix, Brazil’s new electronic payment method, for the payment of auto insurance. The appeal is already available to policyholders as of yesterday, December 17.

According to Jaime Soares, director of the company, the customer will be able to pay through the link or QR code, which will be generated by the broker in the calculation system. “It is another way of providing agility and security in the daily lives of our policyholders, since Pix has been a satisfactory alternative for personal financial transactions. We are attentive to these movements in order to offer the best solutions to our customers ”, he comments.

Pix emerges as a new way of making payments in which the transferred amount will go from one account to another in real time, without the application of bank fees. “In addition, there is no time restriction, which can be used when the customer prefers it. The issued ticket, for example, can be paid via Pix until the expiration date, in a practical and quick way ”, says the director.

SulAmérica implemented Pix as a new payment method for Individual Life products. The option allows you to carry out the payment operation on any day and time, including weekends and holidays, and can replace the bank slip. The novelty is valid at this time only for new hires, as current customers will be able to change their payment method soon.

The new customers of Individual Life, Woman Life, Simple Life, Personal Accidents and Trainee Personal Accidents of the insurer will be able to opt for Pix at the time of contracting the insurance. The company will send by email the QR Code and the Pix code to be copied and pasted at the time of payment, according to the customer’s preference.
